Rio de Janeiro
Day 1:
8pm - arrive in Rio and get an Uber from the airport to your hotel in Copacabana, if your budget will allow - Copacabana Palace
9:30pm - have dinner at Churrascaria Palace
Day 2:
10am - get your bearings and take a walk from Copacabana beach to Ipanema
12pm - take a taxi to visit Selaron steps
1:30pm - explore Tijuaca national park
5pm - join a sunset tour to climb two brothers peak
8pm - have dinner at Mee restaurant at Copacabana palace
8pm - catch a Samba show
Day 3:
9am - join a Favela tour
1pm - leave your bags at Ipanema Inn until check in and use their complimentary bikes to cycle around Lagoa Rodrigo
5pm - take a taxi and head up to Sugarloaf mountain for sunset
8:30pm - back in Ipanema, have dinner at Zara bistro
Day 4:
9am - have a scrumptious breakfast at Quiteria Cafe at Ipanema Inn
10:30am - join a free walking tour to learn about the history of Rio de Janeiro
1:30pm - catch an Uber and the train up to see Christ the Redeemer
3pm - join Sail in Rio for a sunset boat tour
8pm - take an Uber to Fogo de Chao for a Brazilian BBQ
Buenos Aires
Day 5:
10am - fly from Rio de Janerio to Buenos Aires (3.5 hours)
2:30pm - catch an Uber to your hotel in San Telmo
3pm - explore San Telmo market and have a beer and some empanadas at El Hornero
5pm - visit Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada (the president’s house)
8:30pm - enjoy a 3 course dinner and a tango show at Cafe de Los Angelitos
Day 6:
10am-5pm - join Biking Buenos Aires for a cycling tour around the city
7:30pm - head to Don Julio for a delicious Argentinian steak
Iguaza Falls - Brazil
Day 7:
10am - fly to Puerto do Iguazu
12:30pm - either catch a private transfer (550 reals) or catch public transport (3 buses each way - 120 reals) to Foz do Iguazu
1:30pm - take the shuttle to Hotel Das Cataratas, Belmond
2pm - explore the hotel and leave your bags at reception until you can check in
2:30pm - take the super short walk down to the beautiful view of Iguazu falls
3pm - continue down the trail to the Devil’s Throat but remember your raincoat
4pm - settle into your room at the Belmond hotel
6pm - have an aperitif in the bar at Hotel Das Cataratas
8pm - enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants at Hotel Das Cataratas
Day 8:
9am - devour the delicious breakfast at Hotel Das Cataratas
9:45am - visit Parque Das Aves and marvel at all of the tropical birds (make sure to get to the mid section of the park by 10:30am to catch the Macaw feeding)
12pm - stop for lunch at Parque Das Aves restaurant
1pm - walk back to entrance of the park and catch the shuttle back to the hotel
2pm - use the gym and pool facilities and have a relaxing afternoon
6pm - take an Uber to Marco Das 3 frontiers and see Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay all in one place
7:30pm - grab a Caipriniha and stay for the entertainment
8:30pm - take an Uber to 677 Craft Beer bar and sample the variety of beers of offer and vinyl music
Iguazu Falls - Argentina
Day 9:
10am - take the shuttle to the entrance of the park and walk over to the visitors centre
10:45am - flag down a taxi and arrange this to take you to and from the Argentinian side of Iguazu falls (remember your passport and agree the fee in advance. We paid 300 Reals as a benchmark)
11:45am - arrive at Puerto do Iguazu, purchase your tickets and enter the park
12pm - explore all of the trails on offer in particular the Devil’s Throat and upper and lower trails
4pm - take your taxi back over the border to Brazil
5pm - arrive back at Hotel Das Cataratas and head down to the falls for sunset. Take advantage of the privilege of staying at Hotel Das Cataratas and enjoy having the falls all to yourself after 5pm
8pm - catch dinner at one of the other restaurants at Hotel Das Cataratas
São Paulo
Day 10:
10am - catch a flight from Foz do Iguazu to São Paulo
11:30am - check into your hotel in Itaim Bibi and unpack
12:30pm - explore São Paulo and get your bearings
3pm - join a free walking tour to learn about the history of the city
7pm - visit Boteca Sao Bento for a pre-dinner Caipriniha
8pm - have dinner at Le Bou
Day 11:
10am - take a walk and explore Avenida Paulista
12:30pm - continue onto Ibirapuera Park. Rent a bike and cycle around
3pm - relax in your hotel and use the facilities
8pm - dinner at Modern Mamma Osteria
Day 12:
Fly home from São Paulo
